What to expect
During the Tour we will visit Yanardagh ('The Burning mountain'), sacred to all the Azerbaijanis, and get acquainted with the traditions of 'washing with fire' and celebrating Novruz. The next stop we will make in the Zoroastrian Fire Temple ('Ateshgah'), which is still a holly place for local people and pilgrims, professing the Cult of Fire. There we will learn about the traditions of the first world religion - Zoroastrism. Then we wil go to the Nobel Brothers' residence, where not every tourist can get today. We will see the original interiors of 'Villa Petrolia' and learn about the creation and activities of the 'Nobel Brothers Oil Company' in Baku, about Ludwig Nobel's fascination with Zoroastrian philosophy, inventions of Ludwig Nobel, which commited a revolution in the oil industry... So we will talk about the Nobels' heritage and the role Baku played in the fate of this family.
