What to expect
In the evening, Sharm el-Sheikh comes to life, and you can immerse yourself in the city's unique atmosphere with a professional guide. Here's what you can expect:
• El Mustafa Mosque: This grand mosque, though you can't enter, is a mesmerizing sight, especially in the evening when it's beautifully illuminated. You'll also learn about Islam in general and its nuances in Egypt.
• St. Sama In Coptic Church: This church differs in many ways from the familiar Orthodox churches, both in architecture and worship. You can enter and even witness a service, gaining insights into Christianity in Egypt.
• Old Market in the Old Town: This vast, ancient, and budget-friendly market is where you can experience the true essence of an Eastern bazaar. Don't forget to haggle with the vendors to fully appreciate this art.
• At the concert square in the heart of the Old Market, you can watch Eastern dances or a vibrant snake charmer show. You'll also get to admire the new El Sahaba Mosque, the largest and most elegant in the city. Then, we'll head to a beautiful spot for a panoramic view of Sharm el-Sheikh and watch the sunset.
• Farsha Cafe on Ras Um Sid Reef: This cafe, built on a cliff, offers breathtaking views of the bay from any angle. "Farsha" is an Arabic word that means a window or door frame. Inside, you'll immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient Egypt and can try a hookah.
• El Fanar Beach: This beach is stunning at sunrise, sunset, and even late at night. The sound of the sea against the rocks, the moon's reflection, and the lighthouse's light create a magical and romantic ambiance.
• Soho Square: Perhaps the most Europeanized place in the Eastern city, with numerous charming locations for beautiful photographs, such as interesting sculptures, color-music fountains, and vibrant lighting. The shops offer a less pushy service, a rarity in Sharm, but prices may be slightly higher than in the Old Town.
